Choose the right company
Pick a company that is fully licensed and insured – many people prefer one recommended by friends or family.
Collect boxes
Sturdy boxes and packing materials are easy if your removal company provides them; otherwise you will need to source them yourself.

Clear out what you no longer use so your move is lighter. We can also help with disposal.
Sell or donate
Items you no longer need can go to a car boot sale or to charity.
Start packing seldom-used items
Pack seasonal and rarely used things early so you are not rushing on moving day.
Tell people you are moving

Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Our movers handle any dismantling and reassembly needed, free of extra charge.
How much notice do I need to give?
One to three weeks’ notice is standard. The more notice you give, the more likely we can book the time you want – but you can also ask about same-day moves.
How does the hourly rate work?
We charge a two-hour minimum, then in 30-minute increments.
How many boxes will I need?
It depends on the size of your home and how much you own. As a rough guide: a studio or one-bedroom flat needs about 20–30 boxes, a medium kitchen about 12, a large kitchen about 30 and a three-bedroom house about 70. See our recommended packing materials packages.
Parking is limited where I live – what should I do?
Arrange parking for the removal van before moving day and let your neighbours know you need the space clear. If you live in a permit area, you can usually get a parking suspension from your local council.
Can you move large items through a window?
Yes – if internal access is difficult, we can take large items in and out through a window or balcony.
